Parry and Teresa came through Colorado and stayed with us last week. We got to keep them for three days. Here is what we did:
Day One: Martinez Farm in Fort Collins
| Mika called all the goats (and almost everything else) doggies |
| Ramona got to do a pony ride on a lethargic beast named "Freckles." |
| Ramona: "It's okay to talk about poop . . . but it's not okay to joke about it!" |
| Ice cream stop before heading home |
Day Two: Nature trail hike near Round Mountain
| Ramona pretending to be a statue (Unfortunately, she was moving at about the rate of a statue for much of the ascent) |
| the "top" |
Day Three: Benson Sculpture Park
Loveland, CO isn't famous for many things, but its annual sculpture show at Benson Park boasts international attention each year. Ramona just likes exploring the paths and getting her hands on the art.
After the sculpture park excursion and a lunch picnic at Daddy's work, Paca and Teresa took Ramona to pick some cattails from the nearby marsh. Ramona decorated them with glitter glue and now they are sitting in a vase as a centerpiece for our kitchen table.
Three days went by quickly! Guess that's what happens when you play the Dixon way.
