The day after the Great Solar Eclipse was our Bethke Elementary Open House. Once we rubbed most of the sleep out of our eyes, I took Ramona and Mika to find their classrooms, meet their teachers, and drop off school supplies. The following morning, both girls strapped on their backpacks and headed to the bus stop for their first day back at school.
Ramona--Third Grader!
Mika--First Grader!
Mika got a lucky penny pin at the end of Kindergarten so we pinned it to her backpack for her first day.
School is in full swing now, and both my third grader and first grader and doing great! It feels so quiet at home during the day with only half of my children home (especially when Wylie is napping). Paula almost always comes with me to the bus stop to greet her sisters to and from school. She gets a little bored without them sometimes. I guess I do, too. Although I don't mind some occasional Mommy-Paula time and some catch-my-mommy-breath time during those quiet moments. 😉
