Now that we know we are having a girl, it is time to start picking names. Forest affectionately refers to her as "Sproutessa" for the time being, but that may not be appropriate for her birth certificate. We only have about 5 months, so hopefully we can make a decision by then.
To start out, we have managed to eliminate three names for sure:
#1: Astrid--because of a particular episode of The Office.
#2: Roxanne--is having an "x" sound in her first and last name too much?
#3: Aubrey--it's the name of our darling 2-year old niece, and having two in the family might be confusing.
As you can see, the process of elimination alone is not going to make us much progress.
I think people almost expect us to name our kids after some type of flora or fauna, because it seems only fitting coming from parents named Forest and Ivy. As though we were growing a little garden of children...except it probably takes a lot more than a green thumb to raise babies.

well I think you know which name I think is best. There can't be to many Aubrey's in the world. Good luck with the names. Jamison didn't have a name when he was born. Decided early because they just might surprise you and come early.
