Hogwarts Halloween 2018

You know, it's not so bad being a year behind on my blog. I kind of enjoy looking back exactly 12 months from where we are now.

Hogwarts Halloween was definitely a highlight of our 2018. I had planned to go with all three girls, and hastily made some homemade costumes for them to wear.

DIY Hogwarts cloaks and ties: (Black adult-sized T-shirts, Forest's old tie, burgundy-colored ribbon)
We had braided Ramona's hair the night before to get a Hermione Granger look.
In line with their Marauder's maps
Hagrid was there to greet us as we entered
First stop: Sorting Hat
Wand-making at Ollivander's
Handmade Howlers
Quidditch capes
O.W.L. Exams
Patronus station
Green Screen photos at Flourish & Blotts
Getting a compliment from Professor Snape
 The Three Broomsticks
 Sipping butterbeer
Posing with Hagrid
Potions Class
(At one point a crew of kids came through chanting "Snape! Snape! Snape!" in rhythm with Professor Snape leading the pack.)
Making Mandrakes
(Paula got some help from Voldemort)
Mixing troll boogies
Watching Quidditch
Speaking parseltongue with some reptiles
Divination
Common room
Giant chess
Visiting Moaning Myrtle in the bathroom
This weekend we are planning to go to Hogwarts Halloween 2019. Hoping we have just as much fun as we did the first time!
