Wye-Guy + Paula Doll

Grocery shopping August 2017
Paula and Wylie are at adorable ages right now. They are still so little but able to express themselves, interact with each other, and display their emerging personalities. I am so blessed to be able to keep them home with me and watch them grow. It feels like a truly precious and fleeing stage of my motherhood.
Boss Baby.
Wylie tends to stick his tongue out to one side when he's really focused on having a good time.

Wylie often "sees" Paula in the books that we read together. Here is one "Paula" he pointed out:

Sometimes I wish these two would stay small enough to fit in a laundry basket forever. I guess the main defect in children is that they grow up too fast. But no matter how big they get, at least I know they will always be mine.

Melt My Heart

I believe a famous snowman once said, "Some people are worth melting for." He was right. Here are some of my personal heart-melt moments from Valentine's Day 2018:

Heart-shaped sandwiches for lunchboxes:
Ramona and Paula studying a Valentine-themed I SPY page before breakfast:
Paula excitedly handing Mika a valentine she carefully crafted for her:
The school girls getting ready to head to the bus stop:
Wylie with a giant lips-shaped kazoo:
Paula all dressed for the occasion:
Some little Valentine gifts:
(Please take note that the dark chocolate ganache hearts are definitely worth melting in your mouth. Wow.)
Three queens of hearts:
Pancakes somewhat resembling hearts:
Three sisters getting along marvelously after dinner:
My heart will probably never be done melting for these folks. The dark chocolate ganache hearts, though...they are done for.

Snow Long Ago

Forest took Ramona and Mika skiing for their very first time in January. After a lesson with their instructor Greg on the bunny hill, they went up the ski lift. Forest was impressed with how well the girls managed this new experience.
Although Paula didn't get to go skiing this year, she did get some good sister snow time at home and in the backyard:
The girls always play some kind of footprint game as they make tracks in the snow, and it is surprising how long they can stay out in the cold.
Wylie suited up to play in the snow for his first time in February. He loved it.
It's comical how big of a mess it makes when four kids to go out and play in the snow, then come back inside:
Hot chocolate, anyone?
